5.0-magnitude quake hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region: GFZ

NEW YORK — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region at 17:31:02 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 100.0 km, was initially determined to be at 37.31 degrees north latitude and 71.60 degrees east longitude.
